22 Players Named to Preliminary Roster
Team USA Hockey has announced its mens hockey roster for the 2023 IIHF World Championship. The preliminary roster of 22 players includes several NHL stars, including Tage Thompson, Alex DeBrincat, and Clayton Keller. The team will be led by coach David Quinn, who is entering his second year at the helm.
The United States will open the tournament on May 12 against Latvia. They will also face off against Austria, Czechia, Germany, and Switzerland in the preliminary round. The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
The 2023 IIHF World Championship will be held in Tampere, Finland from May 12-28.
