United Down to One Fit Centre-Back
Coventry City Prepares for FA Cup Match Against Manchester United
28 Different Back Four Combinations for United
Manchester United is facing a shortage of fit centre-backs, with only one player currently available for selection. This has forced manager Erik ten Hag to field a variety of back four combinations throughout the season, with 28 different pairings used since his arrival.
The latest injury blow came during United's 3-0 win over Leicester City, with Harry Maguire forced off with a knee problem. This leaves Raphael Varane as the only recognized centre-back available for the upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.
Coventry, meanwhile, are playing in only their second ever FA Cup semi-final and will be hoping to cause an upset against the Premier League giants. The Sky Blues will be looking to draw inspiration from their 1986-87 triumph over Leeds United, which ultimately led to them winning the trophy.
The match will be played at the neutral venue of Wembley Stadium on Saturday, April 22. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30pm BST.
